The Legend of Korra: Pro-bending Arena tabletop game
Posted by Icy_Ashford on June 22nd, 2017 @ 8:26 PM EST (814)
Geek and Sundry just announced that The Legend of Korra will be getting a tabletop game later this year.
The article states that the game will focus on pro-bending where two players will control either the Fire Ferrets or the White Falls Wolfbats. Both players have to attempt to knock the opposing team out of the ring or advance the furthest before the game ends.
IDW Games and Nickelodeon will launch a Kickstarter campaign of the game later in the summer before the game is released in the fall in friendly local game stores across the United States.

The Legend of Korra - Turf Wars comic announced
Posted by Icy_Ashford on October 5th, 2016 @ 6:38 AM EST (811)
almost a year since we last received any news about the Korra comics and we finally have an update! The title of the three-part graphic novel series will be called Turf Wars and the first part is due to be released next year on June 2017. It will be written by co-creater Michael DiMartino and drawn by the artist Irene Koh with feedback from Bryan Konietzko, the other co-creator of the series.
According to the EW article, “Turf Wars is set to pick up right where the series left off, as Korra and Asami return from the spirit world to find Republic City in disarray. The new spirit portal has caused no end of chaos, as a pompous developer plans to turn it into an amusement park and the triads reunite just in time to cause trouble for the city’s many evacuees.”
An interview with Mike also stated that “It’s gonna take place right after the finale, so it’s focusing on Korra and Asami’s relationship as a new threat emerges. It’s kind of like the aftermath dealing with the new portal in the city, and all the evacuees coming back to find their homes wiped out cause of the portal.”
From the cover image, it looks like Bolin has become a policeman. That's quite a stark change from his previous mover star career. I wonder how he would cope and if he clashes with his brother Mako.
Hopefully the stakes won't be as high as the giant mech in the Book 4 finale. I think our heroine Korra deserves a breather.
TLOK complete series DVD and blu-ray box set to be released in the US

mentioned last year that the Legend of Korra complete box set was released in Australia with no mentions on when it will be available in the U.S.
We have good news! IGN recently announced that there will be a Legend of Korra complete series box set slated to be released on December 13 2016. According to IGN, "The collection includes all four seasons of the show, including special features like audio commentary for most of the episodes, and scene and episode analyses from the cast and crew. The box set will be available on DVD for $42.99, and Limited Edition Blu-ray for $47.99, with the latter set including exclusive selections from The Legend of Korra: The Art of the Animated Series."
For those who have been holding out on purchasing the individual book DVDs/blu-rays, perhaps you can acquire the box set instead to finally complete your collection!
