The Legend of Korra - Turf Wars comic announced

TLOK Turf Wars
It has been almost a year since we last received any news about the Korra comics and we finally have an update! The title of the three-part graphic novel series will be called Turf Wars and the first part is due to be released next year on June 2017. It will be written by co-creater Michael DiMartino and drawn by the artist Irene Koh with feedback from Bryan Konietzko, the other co-creator of the series.

According to the EW article, “Turf Wars is set to pick up right where the series left off, as Korra and Asami return from the spirit world to find Republic City in disarray. The new spirit portal has caused no end of chaos, as a pompous developer plans to turn it into an amusement park and the triads reunite just in time to cause trouble for the city’s many evacuees.”

An interview with Mike also stated that “It’s gonna take place right after the finale, so it’s focusing on Korra and Asami’s relationship as a new threat emerges. It’s kind of like the aftermath dealing with the new portal in the city, and all the evacuees coming back to find their homes wiped out cause of the portal.”

From the cover image, it looks like Bolin has become a policeman. That's quite a stark change from his previous mover star career. I wonder how he would cope and if he clashes with his brother Mako.

Hopefully the stakes won't be as high as the giant mech in the Book 4 finale. I think our heroine Korra deserves a breather.

TLOK box set
It was mentioned last year that the Legend of Korra complete box set was released in Australia with no mentions on when it will be available in the U.S.

We have good news! IGN recently announced that there will be a Legend of Korra complete series box set slated to be released on December 13 2016. According to IGN, "The collection includes all four seasons of the show, including special features like audio commentary for most of the episodes, and scene and episode analyses from the cast and crew. The box set will be available on DVD for $42.99, and Limited Edition Blu-ray for $47.99, with the latter set including exclusive selections from The Legend of Korra: The Art of the Animated Series."

For those who have been holding out on purchasing the individual book DVDs/blu-rays, perhaps you can acquire the box set instead to finally complete your collection!
Korra Nendoroid available for pre-order!

Korra Nendoroid
The GOODSMILE ONLINE SHOP has opened pre-orders for a Korra Nendoroid from 30th June 2016 12:00 JST till 27th July 2016 21:00JST.

Please note that the product is only available for pre-order in the United States of America.

Below is a description of the Nendoroid figure:

"Avatar Aang's successor, Korra is joining the Nendoroids!

From Nickelodeon's "The Legend of Korra", the sequel to "Avatar: The Last Airbender" comes a Nendoroid of the main character, Korra! She has been shrunk down into cute Nendoroid size with a tough, confident expression that captures her personality and charm!

Korra can be displayed with her feet firmly grounded preparing herself for a battle, or instead jumping through the air with special bending effect parts! Her hair is fitted with joints and the effect parts each have their own stands that can be moved around to suit various different poses!"

According to the pre-order page, the Korra Nendoroid is slated to be released in November 2016.

I wonder if this means that other characters from The Legend of Korra and maybe Avatar: The Last Airbender will be released in the future? We can only cross our fingers and hope for the best.
The Legend of Korra - The Poster Collection

The Legend of Korra Poster Collection
Like the ATLA poster collection, it seems Dark Horse will be a releasing a poster collection for The Legend of Korra too! Amazon has posted a listing for the poster collection and indicates that it will be released on October 11, 2016.

It's a wish come true for me as I hoped for a TLOK poster collection back when the ATLA collection was announced. I hope fellow fans who are avid poster collectors would enjoy this book too when it comes out.
